Paradise

For those who think we live in a pristine paradise here – no, we don’t.

Here too, we do not escape all the ‘pleasures’ of civilisation, such as factories, power lines and litter.

About the latter – it is not uncommon during a walk in a nature reserve, hundreds of metres from the entrance, to suddenly see a discarded fridge…

But the country – at least if you are not too close to Budapest – has so much space per inhabitant that you can still see beautiful panoramas after that factory. And yes, admittedly, on most pages on this blog we prefer to show the pretty pictures rather than the not so pretty ones.

And the Pétfürdő nitrogen plant (pictured below) has the advantage of being visible from far and wide – making it a great landmark on a hike or bike ride.
