Hymn to the walnut tree
This beautiful tree dominates our garden, and has lent its name to our house.
We only have one big tree on our 5000m². But that one tree is an absolute hit. Unhindered by competitors, it has grown wide and proud and its crown is as much as 10 m wide. During the hot summer months, it provides blissful shade and, during downpours, a dry spot. Of course, an oak or maple tree would also be big and wide and shady. But over the past few days we were then also allowed to lazily pick nuts, harvest we really didn’t have to do anything for. Thank you walnut tree, you are by far our best tree.
